Good candidates for adult day care are seniors who:
Can get benefit from assisted living, planned activities, new friendships, social opportunities and functional assistance a day care center offers- May be physically or cognitively challenged, but don’t need constant supervision.
- Are showing symptoms of early Alzheimer’s stages
Seniors participating in adult day care programs need to be mobile, with the possible assistance of a cane, walker or wheelchair, and in most cases, they must also be continent.
